Language mentors for children

For more than two years, the project "Language mentors for children from all around the world" is in place to look after children in the city and in the district of Passau.
Our language partners are carefully chosen and instructed in a three-part training by the association "Living and learning together in Europe" (Gemeinsam leben und lernen in Europa e.V.). After the training, they can work with children and teenagers on a voluntary basis.

The language partners meet the children at least once a week for an hour. The meetings take place at school or at the after-school care center.

The project is aimed at helping children in primary school as well as teenagers in secondary schools. The language partner will meet your child until it speaks German good enough to being able to follow the classes at school and talk to teachers and classmates without any difficulty.

If you want your child to have a language mentor, please talk to your child's teacher. He/She will then register your child with our program.
